5 Minutes- 5 Symptoms | A Breast Cancer Awareness Initiative by Hope-MOC, Nashik.

Incidences of breast cancer are rapidly rising in India and surprisingly in tier 2 cities due to increasing urbanization and rapid adoption of western lifestyle. In India, due to lack of awareness, there is a monumental negligence towards abnormal breast changes by females and we often see breast cancer patients presenting to us in advanced stages. In such cases, the intensity, cost and time required for treatment increases and sometimes, treatment outcomes are compromised. Hope-Mumbai Oncocare Centre in the wake of it's social responsibility is launching this short video, '5 Minutes- 5 Symptoms'. Our intention is to motivate females in Nashik city, Nashik district as well as in the whole of Maharashtra to spend 5 minutes, once a week or once a month, for themselves; i.e. for breast self-examination and help them identify abnormal changes in their breasts. We strongly believe that such awareness initiatives will help diagnose breast cancer at early stages and patients can be treated for cure and long life.

Mumbai Oncocare Centre is the largest chain of cancer daycares in Mumbai and Maharashtra, committed to provide comprehensive clinical services in oncology and hematology. Hope-Mumbai Oncocare Centre is our 1st cancer daycare centre in the city of Nashik, working to live by our promise of offering quality, evidence based and affordable cancer care to patients in Nashik city, Nashik district and peripheries. Dr. Chandrashekhar Pethe and Dr. Sonal Dhande, our cancer specialist (Oncologists) together lead the centre to serve cancer patients optimally.
