Light, sporadic showers began Thursday morning as clouds filled the sky in anticipation for the arrival of widespread rain, thunderstorms, and strong wind associated with Hurricane Kay.
By the time Kay moves closest to San Diego, it will veer far to the west and decay to a post-tropical cyclone. San Diego County can expect the greatest impacts over local mountain ranges and deserts with clouds already building county wide but hot temperatures sticking around on Thursday.
