You know Allah Subhanhu Wa Taala (SWT) does not ask any of us to
ever be perfect or become perfect or arrive at the perfection that is simply
unattainable perfection is for Allah but we are in our imperfections we are
able to recognize our need for Allah and to realize that we have so many places in our lives where we need to grow so many places in our lives where we need his help so many places in our lives
where we recognize that we need other people so by being imperfect there's a couple of things that happen one we
again we recognize and were able to
connect with some of the attributes of
Allah Spano Tata if we never made
mistakes if we never sinned if we never
slipped and fell down then we would
never be able to call on Allah by his
name of being the most forgiving and be
the one that completely accepts our
forgiveness if we were never in need or
worried we would never be able to call
in the protection of the law and so by
just needing something by just not being
a perfect being that can do everything
have everything and have everything
perfect all the time we're able to
connect with our Lord in a way that is
meaningful and purposeful but also when
you think about it by being an imperfect
person that makes way for everyone to
have a purpose in this life you know
there are people that wonder sometimes
why they were created why they're on
this earth like why are they here and
when you start to recognize the fact
that because we're imperfect because we
aren't not not whole you know because we
need each other you know that we're not
all gonna master the same skills we're
not all gonna master the same things
that all of us have a role here when you
think about everything
we do in this life ultimately it is to
serve another person it's to connect
with people right so if you're a teacher
you're educating if you're someone
designs clothes is for people to clothe
themselves if you become a shop it's so
that you can feed people and give them
the arts of you know wonderful tastes
and flavors and things like that right
if you're a writer it's so that you can
produce knowledge or material or maybe
an editor that it makes it you know
presentable when people read it no
matter what you're doing you're always
in the service of people in some
capacity and so when you think about
that by being an imperfect person you
have a place in this world where you're
serving someone else and you become the
means for someone else to to have an
existence so they can serve you in the
places you need help so first just by
default there isn't a reason not to
celebrate being imperfect so in a world
where people are constantly competing to
be the best and to be on top whether
it's and how they look whether it's the
amount of money that they you know are
making in their careers whether it's the
diplomas that are behind their name
whatever it is the houses are cars you
know the realization is we are always
going to be imperfect we're always going
to have flaws we're always going to have
weaknesses and so rather than trying to
run away from that I really look at this
is an art of accepting that but when
you're looking at imperfection you're
looking at a couple of things sometimes
it is weakness in character it simply
just leads to bad habits or maybe how
you relate to people but also those
weaknesses can lead then a person to do
things that are sinful and that's where
we come to the place where this
community is not about making it okay
for people to you know to to disobey a
law it's about creating a community form
people say I messed up and I'm gonna
start again
I messed up but I'm coming back you know
what I fell on my face I'm gonna get
back up again I'm gonna come back to
Allah I'm gonna come back and I'm gonna
move forward that's what this is about
I find human struggle beautiful whenever
I work with someone I've been coaching
people now for many many many years and
I've talked with people about just about
every topic you can imagine Under the
Sun at this point when I am working with
people and they get to that moment where
they let go of a fear or they finally
faced a fear maybe for the first time in
their life or they have a breakthrough...
