‘Plodding away,’ Josh Harris makes the Pro Bowl For “quietly doing my job,” Atlanta Falcons long snapper Josh Harris has become a Pro Bowler for the first time in his 10th NFL season. “It’s just quietly doing my job,” Harris said on Thursday about his selection as the long snapper for the NFC Pro Bowl team, which was announced on Tuesday night. “He’s great in the classroom, great in the weight room, great on the field. “From a mental perspective, I think a lot of it comes from the preparation that you put in in the offseason,” Harris said, “and just the work that you put in during the week and training camp and things like that where when you’re in those moments, when you’re in the game, you’re not necessarily worried about what’s happening. Long snapper, Josh, he has his head down, so he might be looking at a certain protection, he’s listening to our personal protector, which is the quarterback to our punt team – and you could count Josh as our second quarterback because he has to confirm to make sure we’re getting in the right calls.
