New protocols follow steady decline in COVID-19 cases

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs is reporting a continued decline in active cases associated with the 4th wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Saint Lucia. Active cases at October 28, 2021, had dropped to 350. The Ministry is also noting a steady decline in the rate of transmission. Minister for Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs, Hon Moses Jn Baptiste says the improved outlook has led to the phased re-opening of school. The minister says Saint Lucia is still at a critical stage in its fight against the 4th wave of COVID-19. As the Festive Season approaches, the health minister is imploring the public not to let its guard down.
