About 100,000 healthcare workers involved in Singapore's COVID-19 fight will receive up to $4,000 each. Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said this cash award recognises their sacrifices and efforts while fighting the coronavirus. Those eligible for the COVID-19 Healthcare Award include workers from the healthcare clusters, community hospitals and nursing homes. It will first be rolled out to staff of public healthcare institutions in December. The Health Ministry will also extend a $10,000 grant to each Public Health Preparedness Clinic.
