Let’s talk about how to prevent bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis is a condition where there is an overgrowth of bacteria. Normally, in the vagina, this bacterial is present in small amounts. It’s only a problem when there is an overgrowth of this bacteria.

Symptoms of bacterial vaginosis can include a bad odor and a lot of pain. This condition can also develop into a UTI (urinary tract infection).

A few causes of bacterial vaginosis:
• Antibiotics
• Dairy
• Sugar
• Excess douching
• High estrogen

How to prevent and fight bacterial vaginosis:
1. Avoid sugar
2. Avoid dairy
3. Take a non-dairy probiotic
4. Take D-mannose
5. Boric acid (suppository)
