This video shows two Low Barrier / Accessible Hikes in the North Cascades of Washington - Washington Pass Overlook and Rainy Lake. Great for people who use wheelchairs, strollers, and others who want to enjoy great Mountain View’s without a strenuous hike. ADA.
I visited and hiked these two trails on September 24, 2021. It was a beautiful fall day with a start of fall colors.
The book I’m using to learn more about ADA Accessible and low-barrier hikes is:
Accessible Trails in Washington’s Backcountry
1995 The Mountaineers Books
There may be some more recent books, and certainly more updates formation online, but I’m happy to have this book as a resource to get started with.
WTA, Washington Trails Association is another great resource for hiking and trail information for Washington State: https://www.wta.org/
