TROPICS UPDATE: Ida is an 'extremely dangerous' Cat 4 hurricane, Tropical Storm Julian has formed

Ida is an extremely dangerous Category 4 hurricane and is approaching Louisiana with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said. Landfall is expected in a few hours. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Julian has formed.
