Dr. Nanasaheb Thorat is an outstanding Experienced Researcher who has already demonstrated extra-ordinary ability of independent thinking, leadership, time-management & communication qualities throughout his
undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and postdoctoral research. He has a strong involvement in extracurricular activities His contribution in the area of Nano-biotechnology and theranostics have been recognized
internationally through invited and keynote lectures in prestigious and exclusive scientific symposia and fora.He also involved in an innovation partnership research project that involved three world leading
pharmaceutical companies Jansen, GSK, Pfizer.
A scientist can never ignore what is happening in the surrounding world. This philosophy drives the Dr. Thorat in to strong outreach & volunteering activities in various non-scientific platforms where he elaborates the societal impact of his & others’ laboratory-based research to wider community.
Dr. Thorat has a strong record of collaborative research in science. In addition to his current research
at University of Oxford, Dr. Thorat has been deeply engaged in collaborative work with eminent scientists from UK, Japan, USA, Germany, Korea, Ireland, Poland, India, and Australia.
