CONDOMS Demo - using fruit & vegetables

I think doing whatever you can to make sex safer is so damn sexy —personally I can’t quite focus on my pleasure if I’m worried about the risks of pregnancy or STI’s. 🤓

Barrier methods are the only methods of protection that can be used to prevent BOTH pregnancy AND sexually transmitted infections

Contraceptives like the pill, IUD etc only protect against pregnancy. So if you and your partner haven’t been tested for STI’s it’s best to use a barrier method like a condom (even if you’re on birth control)

And even during sexual activity that cannot result in a pregnancy— such as oral sex and anal sex, using a barrier method like these is absolutely key — because STI’s can be contracted from oral and anal sexual activity too.

Here’s what’s out there in terms of barrier methods that also protect against STIs:

🍆Regular Condoms
Worn on the penis. It can be used during:
-penetrative vaginal sex
-penetrative anal sex
-when a penis owner receives oral sex. (Yes you need to use condoms even during oral— that’s why flavored condoms exist!)

🍩 Internal Condoms
Worn inside the vagina or anus. Can be used during:
-penetrative vaginal sex
-penetrative anal sex

👉*Use either a regular condom OR an internal condom—not both at the same time—using both together does not provide double the protection—instead it would make both condoms more likely to get displaced or tear.

👅DIY Dental Dam

Dental Dams were actually sheets used to isolate teeth from saliva during dental procedures— hence the name. But then people discovered they could also be used as barriers held in place to make cunnilingus (oral sex performed on a vulva) and annilingus (oral sex performed on an anus) safer. Since dental dams are kind of hard to find at stores, it’s easy to make one yourself using a regular condom as I’ve shown in the reel.

Here’s to safer sex 🙌🏽✨
