On 8/18/21 at approximately 11:58 PM, A male suspect walked into the National Ave Smoke Shop and approached the counter. He reached over and took money out of the register and a small safe that was behind the counter. An employee approached the suspect to see what he was doing. The suspect had some kind of taser instrument and held it over his head when the employee approached. The employee backed away and the suspect left the store with the money and safe. He got on a black mountain bike and rode away. He was last seen riding southbound on 31st St. The suspect was described as a Hispanic or white male in his mid 20's, 6'0, 250 pounds. He was wearing a black hat, white tank top and black shorts. San Diego Police Robbery Detectives are investigating.
