Couple nabbed in Pasir Mas in possession of drugs worth over RM2 million

Police detained a lorry driver and his Thai wife in possession of heroin base and pills worth more than RM2 million on Monday.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Shafien Mamat said police also seized a car and motorcycle during the operation at Jalan Pasir Mas-Tanah Merah.

He added the 27-year-old lorry driver was detained at Jalan Pasir Mas-Tanah Merah at about 1.20pm on Monday.

The suspect then brought the police to a house nearby where they found 13.295kg of heroin base and 86,000 pills.

A 23-year-old Thai citizen who was in the house, was also arrested.

He told a press conference at the Pasir Mas police station here today.
