Real Madrid City hosted a double session on the seventh day of pre-season training.
The squad finished day seven of pre-season with another double session. The first week of training came to an end with an afternoon training match against at Real Madrid City, where the team coached by Carlo Ancelotti took on Fuenlabrada.
Morning session
Tactical work dominated the morning session as the madridistas carried out warm-up exercises before working on possession and pressing, crosses and finishing as well as set plays. Mendy and Jović trained inside.
Real Madrid concluded their first week of pre-season with a friendly behind closed doors against second division side Fuenlabrada. The match was held at Valdebebas, in conditions that reached close to 40 degrees Celsius, and Los Blancos won 3-1.
Fuenlabrada played a defensive style, but Real Madrid were able to secure victory with goals from Victor Chust, Martin Odegaard and Mariano.
The main stars of Real Madrid aren't present in the pre-season workouts, since they have been representing their national teams this summer. This friendly match was, therefore, an opportunity for some of the younger players to show Carlo Ancelotti what they are capable of.
In addition to the friendly match, Real Madrid's players also had a double training session in the morning where they worked on set pieces.
