Sky News host Chris Kenny says the facts are that most of the lockdowns implemented across Australia have been “all pain and no gain”.
“I want to demonstrate something about our lockdowns that too many people fail to acknowledge, or perhaps even understand,” Mr Kenny said.
“And that is that most of our lockdowns have been completely unnecessary in this country.”
Mr Kenny assessed the effectiveness of lockdowns which have been implemented in states across Australia and the impact they have had in stemming various outbreaks.
“Now, I know the premiers claim hero status for their lockdowns and the public, in many instances, lap it up,” he said.
“But that doesn't change the facts, and the facts are most of these lockdowns have been all pain and no gain”.
