Last week, South Africa suffered devastation brought about by open looting which saw some businesses being burnt to the ground. While the nation witnessed scenes of chaos in the media, it is the owners of those businesses who suffered the most - and this morning we talk to owners of two of the affected businesses, Durban based Phumza Sokhetye of Kingspark, and Mpho Lekau of Styla Gang Original Designs based in Soweto. Phumza Sokhetye owns 51% stake in a manufacturing factory that supplies clothing to South African retail stores, while Mpho Makua and his business partners own a trendy graphic sports label for ready-to-wear clothing.
