[KRO] Arch Mage (아크 메이지) - 232 Instances Raid - Challenge Old Glast Heim Level 1

Instance Info:
Challenge Old Glast Heim - Level 1 (required level: 170+)

The task of the first floor is easy to understand. What we have to do inside this instance is to clear all mobs of the first floor, there are 50 mobs for each side. If you can clear mobs fast enough, you will have a chance to meet the boss, Corrupted Root's Phantom (I don't meet it inside this instance once, so I will not mention about it).

The main MVP boss is on the second floor.

How to fight:
The most dangerous skill done by this boss is the Dark Grand Cross because the skill ignores completely the Hard DEF/ Hard MDEF. The average damage of this skill is almost 100k per hit, so if you got hit by this skill, it is either dead or almost dead. The most effective way to handle this is the usage of the Bathory card or the Dark armor scroll.

There are two different Dark Grand Crosses in this instance. The one from the boss is easy to avoid by not going to close to it and stay diagonal with respect to boss.

The another one from the gimmick of the instance is quite a little problem because if the boss becomes low in HP, it will cast the re-position to change to the location of the player, if you are teleported into the location that the Dark Grand Cross takes place, you will experience the instant death. The Dark Grand Cross will be casted by the NPC that spawn across the floor, if you can kill them before they are vanished by the gimmick, the Dark Grand Cross will not be successfully casted at that location. The NPC takes only 1 damage per hit, that is the problem you have to solve.

However, this gimmick is not that difficult to handle if you are Arch Mage, the way I deal with this gimmick is to try staying around the center of the floor. When the NPC spawn, I just cast the Rain of Crystal (19x19 Over-time Water property magical), hence, the problem is partially solved, the rest depends on your luck.

Not only Dark damage from it, the damages from 'Rain of Meteor' (Fire property magic) and 'Ground Drive' (Earth property magic) hurt as hell even if they are not that fatal. Thus, the Fire resist potion is also recommended.

One thing you have to keep in your mind is that if one of your party is either dead or log-out, the boss will take only 1 damage and the boss will become berserk mode. This is the reason why I decide not to bring Troubadour with me in this instance because my Troubadour is quite weak comparing to my Cardinal who is even more tanky.
